COUPLE ORDER TAKEAWAY FROM CURRY HOUSE 351 MILES AWAY

A curry loving couple, who missed their local curry house so much after a move to Ireland, have managed receive a takeaway delivery covering 351 miles.

Patrick and Linda Sudsworth relocated to Ireland four years ago after living in Banstead for seven years. This is when they became regular weekly patrons of popular curry house, Indus. Their visits were so frequent that the couple became well-known to the staff.

On moving to Wexford in Ireland, the Sudsworths were unable to locate a proper Indian takeaway that lived up to their standards set by Indus. When they realised a friend would be travelling to Banstead, they ordered a meal at their beloved takeaway that would then travel a staggering 351 miles.

Manager of Indus, Shah Malik, told the Mirror: "He [Patrick Sudsworth] rang me up and said 'Shah, I can't find good curry, we really miss your food'

"First of all I thought he was joking then he said 'No, we're desperate'. They're big fans of our curry, so we got an order sorted out for them. It is nice that people are that dedicated to us."

The staff prepared a special order for the Sudsworths and packed it in boxes to keep it as safe and fresh as possible. They were so touched by the order that they even gave a 10 percent discount on the bill.

Warren Treadwell, the visiting friend who brought the Sudsworths their sought-after curry back home to Wexford after a ten hour trip, said: "We asked them what they missed the most about the UK, and they said without a doubt the wonderful curries they had enjoyed from the Indus curry house.

"They had fond memories of enjoying meals in there, and the wonderful welcome and service they received. We therefore set about investigating how we might get a takeaway to them on our next visit."

Now that's a real spice addiction!
